I've had no issues with cable connections (has a nice tight fit) or video quality over 4k.
My roku streaming stick was plugged directly into the back of the tv and was getting too hot and shutting down.
This coupler lets be connect the short adapter cable (which is male) to the 100 foot fiber optic cable (also male).

At $10 a pair, it's a great value.
Recommended as a great price for a two pack.
I looked for a 15’ or longer cable and came across this for half the price, and i get two and use the free / cheap cables i already have.
Good to have a couple of extras at an inexpensive price.

I would not recommend using them to extend hdmi cables for long distances but i use them to connect hdmi wireless adapters to the ends of hdmi cables

Our new tv fits so tightly into our built in entertainment center that it is very difficult to get behind it to add new cablesdevices

Of course i found that where my tv is now must be in an area shielded to create a dead spot for my receiver
