Pros & Cons
Pros
The regal looking cover draws the reader in. Perfect for the days leading up to christmas with a messages of charity and civility. My only wish is that it was more like a reprint of the original with all original drawings inside.
The book itself is well and wonderfully written, so this is very enjoyable to read. I searched the internet and eventually found this gem, it is truly a great book and keepsake that will the family decades of joy.
It is absolutely beautiful. Very nicely produced. A lovely special edition.
This is the best christmas book that dickens ever wrote (the other four range from forgettable to bad) on christmas eve he is visited by the ghost of his old friend and business partner, jacob marley.
Cons
The paragraphs are not indented, neither are they separated by a line space as an alternative to indentation. The illustrations are inconsistent. The cover and kay’s look cheaply made.
Highlights
Quality
Still a nice quality publication that should last a lifetime.
Very nicely published, great illustrations and quality all around.
In the morning ebenezer scrooge woke up a new man and made everything right with the world.
The only thing to make it better would be more of the old illustrations with the dates so you know when they were produced.
