Worked perfectly in upgrading my mid 2010 macbookpro7,1 13 from 4 gigs to 8 gigs of memory. Some places say the a1278 only accepts 8gb upgrade, it is not true. Bought this in the hopes of upgrading the ram of a mid 2010 macbook.
Worked as advertised. The memory works perfectly for what it's advertised. Works like a charm. The mac recognizes the ram and they work perfectly.
With the ssd update, my display updates almost immediately when i load a chock-full-o-images page or a large image file. With the new ram it's running much quicker.
