The a3500 ascent series is a fantastic machine. The base unit is super sturdy, not slip, and does not walk or wiggle during use. These blenders have incredible power.
The vitamix a3500 is a powerful and reliable blender. The blending booklet is very helpful. This is the first time this reviewer has used a vitamix mixer.
One of the standout features of the vitamix a3500 is the full set of blades. The food processor attachment works as well as the blender. It handled standard processing tasks like slicing and dicing just as well for me as my dedicated cuisinart.

The vitamix processing unit has two major usability issues; switching the unit on and opening the cover.
Price
We were hesitant at the price, but it's definitely worth the money to us.
I save so much money making my own rice flour, almond butter, soups, pesto, smoothies, and more!
If you have a food processor you love, save the money and get the 750.
I've been waiting years for a vitamix and was making do with the nutribullet rx because they are so expensive.

I got tired of constantly having to completely unscrew the whole lid and move things around constantly on the old one to keep things blending unless using a lot of liquids
