True to size, has a few brightness settings. The brightest setting (along with no surrounding light) works great for me.

My eyes are shaped different then normal peoples. My image shows the strongest brightness. Good for thic as thin paper! The light box is nearly the same thickness as my paper!
Cons
The charging port is very finicky so he can’t charge it properly. The light is emitted through a series of holes. The port is faulty and if you move it.

Build quality is good for the price, although i will note that the usb port can be a little finicky using different cables.
I purchased this on a whim and i am pleasantly surprised.
Adults should also just be careful with the edges.

Be warned the edges are unfinished glass

While the surface does not seem to heat up even after 30 mins of straight use the sharp edges on the glass are dangerous for unsupervised children
