Sturdy enough - we did purchase an additional canvas base that holds approximately two 50lb bags of sand.
This umbrella was priced below its competition, so i wasn't sure it was as durable as it claimed.
The assembly is more rigid than most competition.

We really like the umbrella but it did not come with any instructions snd was missing 2 bolts to screw the base down so we had to go buy two more

It comes with a large sandbag with a hole in the center for the pole but i bought a separate set of 4 sacks which i filled with river rock bought from lowes

We didn’t end up needing the big crossbar at all we didn’t even need to screw it into the bottom of the deck as you can see in the pic

I am a little concerned about the sturdiness of the actual umbrella above the part that is mounted so we won’t be using it on really breezy daysthose who say the umbrella rotates definitely check that the two pieces in the bottom pole are screwed in pretty tight
