Rca to hdmi conversion allows me to use my old vcr with a new onkyo receiver/surround sound amp. Only issue i have is the usb to hookup to get it power. It works and does as advertised. Does good for vhs and the likes with low resolution picture.

Fortunately the onkyo has a 5v powered usb port for the converter to get its power

Make sure you have either a usb outlet on your tv or somewhere nearby to provide power to the unit

If you have a low res device that you want to display on a fullhd screen it is perfect but you will get your lowres on a highres monitor it will not be better looking hahaha
