When you plug in the adapter it opens file explorer as if a flash drive was connected. Must install software per instructions.
Buy without fear. This does that job phenomenally. It's fairly compact and portable as well and it's good for anyone who wants to increase their desktop real estate.

0 and video quality is indiscernible from my gpu's hdmi output.
The first two worked for a while then just stopped working, and there was no way to get them to work again.

It's reasonably priced at $18 for what it provides and its overall usability, features, and performance.
So for the money, and considering the wizardry involved to get hdmi out from a usb port, i'd say that's pretty great.
1 dolby digital audio; however, for the price, that may be asking too much.

I use it on an old surface 4 on which the display port has died very common on older surfaces

You double click the install programme and it puts the driver into your system

This would probably be good for some drawing streams or something but yeah not for gaming lol
