Pros

Saves a ton of time throughout the year, making the summer that much more enjoyable. Worth every penny, don't try to maintain a pool without a skimmer. It has sat in my saved for later for 2 years.

Place the bucket underwater and up the slide. Place strainer and floater (with that round piece) inside the bucket. Turn pump on. Just the right amount of suction to keep water moving.

Added a 1x4 to have a little tightening range.

Cons

Skimmer doesn't have enough rigidity to keep it positioned in the correct orientation to skim. For an intex product it is pointless for anintex filter. The motors in the intex filter systems are not strong enough to have the proper suction.

The idea of the skimmer is great, but in execution it failed. Still trying to get the older one. Doesnt work well at all. Was not happy with this purchase.

It slips off after being wet, the entire thing then floats above the water. I'm afraid it's going to burn up the pool pump motor.

This skimmer was easy to install and has made a huge difference in the quality of my pool.

Works great on our pool and easy to adjust.

I never have to take the net to clean anything anymore, it even sucks up the little green pieces of algae that the net can’t get.

Skims the water and gets the grass and bugs into the hopper as it should.

Price

I figured for $26 if this didn’t work out not that big of a loss.

The price was great and the skimmer does a great job but i wish it fit better on my pool and sit more level.

But honestly it’s the best money i’ve spent so far for the pool outside of the sand filter i got last year.

Competitiveness

I tried the intex version and it works very well.

This time around i have a coleman metal frame tool, very similar to intex, but coleman does not offer an automatic skimmer.

Co/d/2lhfmxn” it’s an adapter for the suction fitting on these pools because they are different than intex and bestway.
