I think a fuel cap ought to last more than a handful of years, but they are not expensive, so i am not too concerned.
Finally a gas cap that works good quality just like original no vacuum leaks setting off my check engine light.

The service code as retrieved with my code reader indicated a leak in the vacuum section of the fuel assembly

So i replaced it with one of these oem fuel caps and the code and the light went away

Fast forward several years and the service engine light came back on and the code reader displayed the same code
