Jumped the 4 and 8 pin on the obd port with a paper clip and all the locks cycled then held down the lock and unlock buttons on the remote for about 30 seconds and they cycled again and that was it

Do not forget to reprogram the original if this is bought to be a spare as was mine because the process of shorting and programming the new one requires all devices to be reprogrammed
