There are some fine contacts inside this housing that get worn out and the computer doesnt get the right feedback from the unit to sense the butterfly valve position inside so it shuts down almost all power from the engine

Make sure to use the gaskets and make sure to snug all the bolts up tight as this is part of the intake and if you create an air leak downstream of the turbo it will throw a code for a bad turbo low boost pressure because you have a boost leak somewhere

For brand new it looks like it was almost refurbished or the machining on the back side looks very sloppy on the part of the personmachine that made it
