Pros & Cons
Pros
I just wanted something that could give a little kick in the pants for some rusty nuts. Good torque for a small tool. Can spin lug nuts on where you only have to torque the last 30 degrees of turn.
The batteries charge fast. The batterys are tricky. Good battery life. Works great good battery life and very compact.
This tool is powerful & compact, making it easy to use. Also own similar impact by milwaukee, and use 12v compact snap-on at work.
Highlights
Quality
Surprisingly well built and has great battery life.
Super durable and last a long time on one battery
Broke all bolts loose on a water pump replacement on a single charge.
Broke all bolts loose on a front end brake job (except lug nuts and caliper bracket).
Price
This thing is so perfect for what its priced at.
Seems pretty good for the price, light weight, fairly powerful for what it’s meant for.
For the money, and what little i use this, it has met all my needs.
Overall, i think this is an okay tool for the money on light duty bolts.
Packaging/appearance
If that weren't an issue out of the box this would be a solid 5 star purchase.
Competitiveness
Also own similar impact by milwaukee, and use 12v compact snap-on at work.

Bought this 1223 and did research i was going to get the milwaukee 38 but didnt like the tork to me too much for what work im using this on cars 10 to 14mm bolts or nuts and when using these guns you dont need alot of tork remove or tightening bolts so if too much you might strip or break something and turn that into a day project fixing that broke bolt or screw

But the reason im here is because ive been using for a while and remembered lots of people saying this gun was weaker than the ratchet which is not true i was doing a brake job and the ratchet could not take the bolts off so i grabbed the gun and with no problems it took them off then i tried takin off the brake pad holder which i had to break the torx bolt first with a breaker bar but bolts had loctite on them so tried using ratchet again and it could not loosen so put the gun on and took off with no problems this was on a jeep renegade so just wanted to let you know both have their advantages both are good quality and stong enough to use on automotive and already had 2 fiends buy both also

Just like a snap on or a matco tool but cheaper

If i was being picky the retaining ring for socket is really tight getting better as i use it putting a 134 extension on and leaving it on may be a quick solution but for sure socket will never fall off

If it was my only impact i might be disappointed i agree with everyone else you wont be using this for tire lugs so dont even try unless your gonna break them loose by hand first in that case just get an adapter for your impact driver

Yes the friction ring on the anvil is a bit of a pain i rock the socket around the ring kinda tucking each side of the socket over the ring one side at a time
