Pros & Cons
Pros
Plastic seems sturdier, metal blades, connectors look a lot more precise. Wasn't a problem hooking it up. Easy install with the included * connectors.
Worked great to replace the drl socket on my 02 tahoe and my 06 silverado. The originals that my 2005 chevy tahoe had were burned on the inside. Put on a 2004 gmc sierra. Used this to replace day time running lights on a yukon after original got to ho... Read More
Not an aftermarket knockoff. Well worth borrowing from a auto parts store, salt water fisherman, or electronic hobbyist.
The wiring is a little bigger than factory but it's a great improvement. The wires are plenty long enough and the bulbs fit in the socket securely.
Use dielectric grease around bulb socket to keep out moisture and dissipate heat from bulb. Kit comes with butts splices for connection to original wiring. The insulation on the crimp connector is heat shrink so that's good.
Cons
Assembly directions are terrible. Does not come with splice connectors or anything. Was not acdelco. Even though it claims it is an exact fit for my vehicle.
Highlights
Quality
I like the quality and it's a perfect fit.
Once i verified that it fit and was pleased with the quality i purchased a second one for the other lamp.
Well, if fit perfectly and the build quality appears to be better than the oem that came with my truck.
I'm sure it's to help with the daytime running lights that get so hot.
