Pros

This product fits my 2013 gmc sierra 5. L ly7 malibu from the factory. It's well worth insisting on the upf48. It fit and is the oe piece.

The u prefix identifies a far superior construction than just the plain pf48. Most ac delco filters are manufactured by champion labs and utilize their e-core design.

Cons

At this point i'm not sure how severe the engine damage is from this defective filter. Learned first hand how poorly built these filters are made.

Oem professional replacement part at an excellent price.

Amazon provides a good price, but more importantly, it saves me a trip to the dealer.

As far as the product goes, it comes in a acdelco box, and matches the exact same filter that i bought at the dealership.

Competitiveness

Ac delco makes the best oil filters.

Those other manufactures only want to capture delco's market share, and most of all, do not even measure up to the quality of ac delco's.

Compare a delco filter with the supertech.

Even chevrolet dealerships are using pf48's to replace their pf46.
