Pros & Cons
Pros
Screen size is good and has quite a bit of versatility in terms of use. It's got its quirks. The touch screen works great, the battery life is sufficient, very lightweight.
Best of all it comes with google docs which my wife has become a wiz at, before we got this chromebook, and she loves it. It does web browsing really well, it even allows one to install android apps through play store. The on board memory is pretty lo... Read More
Cons
I feel i was sold a faulty product and it is shameful that a $300 device would break within a few months of purchase. This thing crashes every 30 minutes. It is frustrating and honestly a big disappointment.
The touch pad stops working after a month. The screen is black with a small non-blinking cursor. Flimsy plastic.
This came refurbished but 'working'. I check with the manufacturer for warranty since it was less than one year since i bought it. The seller return policy only allowed for exchange or return within 30 days.
Chromebooks apparently aren't supposed to store local data, and purportedly delete regularly. The only work around is to close chrome and reopen to the chrome start page, then restart machine. Bluejeans app isn't compatible with chromebook.
Highlights
Quality
Easy to use and clear colorful screen.
It’s sleek, perfect weight and size imo, and i love the 360 flip to become a tablet.
Sketchy touch screen and play store doesn't download a lot of games/apps that work right away
With the covid-19 pandemic and all of the zoom calls, our old (10 year) touch screen couldn't keep up.
Price
I wanted to stay as cheap as possible and this was totally worth the money.
You can go wrong with the price.
A little unconventional but the price is right.
Competitiveness
I also like the acer brand my son has a lenovo ,i like mine better .
This chromebook in comparison is very fast, it takes having a lot of tabs open to begin to slow down.
