The keyboard is backlit. The trackpad is a good size and is very responsive. The touchpad is quite responsive.

If you're on the fence because you've used underpowered chromebook machines before, this one is worth a try as i’ve loved it so far. At less than 3 pounds, this chromebook goes in my bag and doesn’t weigh me down. Can't beat a chromebook.
