Price
I found this one on amazon during prime days and for $499, i feel i got an exceptional bargain.
After that sorry folks fork over another $1k.
Fwiw i am running this with an old analog vga on a $8 hdmi adapter.
Competitiveness
Compared to 1st gen ibm pc included keboard is skinny and lightweight, so is mouse but, they work fine as well.
Outside of those two situations, i was more than satisfied with this pc purchase and i would purchase another acer.
It was so frustrating and time consuming i thought of returning the darn thing and getting the competitor.

I cant trust good discs to that kind of drive so ive ordered a kit to let me use a formerly internal drive via usb for my dvd watching and music extracting needs

If it had a more traditional front panel perhaps one could install an internal optical drive but with this design there is no place for a disc tray to operate

You can however install an additional hard drive and they even include a sata cable in the box and you can actually see an extra power cable available through the side panel

As i write this ive owned the tower for almost one month

The only issue was that the power cord that was included with the pc was flimsy and would not stay connected in the pack of the pc

The other issue was when i contacted someone for assistance in an attempt to have them send me a better cord i was told that they did not have the capability to replace the cord
