The vg240y is a big step up from a laptop screen. The ports on the back of the monitor are either vga or hdmi. This model has two different hdmi inputs, which is great for having more than one device to connect to the monitor.
Nice minimalistic stand. Up and down tilt. From pictures and specs it seems the vg270s and kg272 are the same panel, just the stand is different.
These monitors do work. They are not overly pricy and will work just fine. This monitor works wonderfully. Gsync works even though it's not a validated gsync compatible monitor.
Cons
Have to turn it off and back on to reset. Tried adjusting using the monitor adjustments, nothing improves. T tried doing a calibration in windows, no difference.

Wasn't sure how good it would be based on the price, but we were pleasantly surprised.
Shipping
The shipping to 4 days and then got pushed back another 4 days and its only 30 min away from my house :(
The only complaint i had about the process was that i had to pay for the shipping to them (they paid to return it once they fixed it).
Originally was going to be about a month wait for the new monitor but came within 2 weeks.

Bought it as one of the cheapest 120hz monitors i could find at the time.
This feature is particularly crucial for fps enthusiasts and competitive gamers.
8" is pretty small compared to the 24" or even the more desired 27".
