I also use finale, a music writing software, and it creates audio tracks faster than my toshiba did.
I would download identical files from identical locations on different laptops to compare to this one.
So there isn't any brand out there having the same design for me to compare.

It just feels more natural and i do not find my cursor in unexpected places because my thumb hit the track pad unintentionally

A couple times we did have the stuck rotation issue mentioned but that has been easily remedied by closing the lap top and reopening it

With the special heavy duty hinge you can pull the screen forward and adjust its tilt so that it is suspended nearly over the keyboard
