Pros & Cons
Pros
Cable has all the ports i need except maybe an ethernet port, but i can get that via wi-fi and save the ethernet hookup for my desktop. The usb ports all work at usb 3. The apple connector works for ipad air 5th gen.
All of the usb ports are full speed. The microsd reader is nice because sometimes i need to review footage from our dash cams.
Since the hub will passthrough 100 watts, i have a 90 watt power adapter plugged into it. I have it hooked up to the notebook and the notebook's charger, which is rated for 45 watts.
It's compact and lightweight, so i can easily toss it in my bag and take it with me wherever i go. The length of the built-in usb-c cable is ideally suited for my use when working on my laptop.
This is the smallest and nicest usb-c hub i have. It's versatile and reliable. It offers a seamless and user-friendly experience.
Cons
Tempermental cord that causes constant system noise that something is being removed/connected. Media could not be loaded. Can't run two devices at once if using the usb-c port. Acer support is not helpful.
Highlights
Quality
This product appears to be well made using good materials.
The hub itself is made from a sturdy aluminum material and feels well-built.
The power output from the usb-b ports is also quite weak and is not suitable for charging devices.
Unlike a hdmi switch, it doesn't disconnect the signal but just blacks out the screen instantly and restores the display instan... Read More
Price
And the price is pretty good too.
This isn't the cheapest option given the number of ports is limited.
However, it is reasonable priced, worth the money.
, but i did not expect that for $29.
Shipping
The 100w power delivery feature ensured that my devices were always charged and ready to go.
Packaging/appearance
It's small, lightweight, and easy to pack, making it perfect for traveling.
Let's just say, it packs a punch in a pretty package!
Competitiveness
In conclusion, this product is an excellent choice for apple users, especially those with mac computers that have limited ports.
Acer is a brand that has been around awhile, so i figure it's trustworthy.
I decided to get this one because acer was willing to put their brand name on it, and i have had good experiences with acer pro... Read More
