Pros
Coaster has a good weight to it and is plenty thick. They look great and have foam pads on the bottom so they don't scratch up your furniture. Protects my end tables nicely.
Slate is coated in matte clear for appearance. Easy to stain after it absorbs liquids a few times. These look great engraved.
Cons
Absolutely no absorbency, completely disaster for ice cold drinks. They are flaky and black pieces crumble everywhere upon first use. Expect that you’ll drip water every time you pick up a cold drink.

They don't absorb any liquid so if you don't constantly wipe them down, they'll start to develop rings.

Work just as good as the more expensive ones, with fast shipping.
So i got these inexpensive ones so if one breaks it is not a big deal.

I was pleased to learn they could be decorated with chalk which holds up with drinks but also wipes off with a normal chalkboard eraser

When i unpacked the customers they were covered with black dusk from the porous stone and the material felt brittle

Initially i was concerned the costers were going to continue producing dust or crack when a drink was placed on one but that hasnt been the case
