Pros

Great custimer service and great active adapter. Needed an active cable to attach my hdmi monitor to my surface dock. I keep this product in my bookmarks because it's just that convenient.

Bought this for my 2012 retina macbook pro 15. Works for both the surface pro 6 directly, and through the surface dock.

Two thumbs up to cablecreation for making this and other great products. My only complaint is i wish it were longer.

This active mini dp to hdmi works great with visiontek radeon 7750 2gb gddr5 6m (6x minidp) - 900614.

This works with our mac mini 2012 for 2560x1080 @ 60 hz.

A 10ft version would be an instant buy.

Recently bought a 1440p 27 and found out that the hdmi out on the macbook can't go above 1080p.

    Because of this the active type will mostly likely work with most displayport sources and most monitors where the passive type would fail to work
