Because of this the active type will mostly likely work with most displayport sources and most monitors where the passive type would fail to work

Previously i had used some regular passive dp to hdmi adapters but once you use more than 1 there would be artifacts all over the screen

Had many problems with intel integrated graphics not wanting to display 4k while radeon and geforce cards did just fine
