Now, turn the receive volume all the way down and press whatever dtmf code you are testing (i'll use 1 in this example).

So while you are transmitting dtmf number 1 eg mashing on the 1 button while keying the radio start to turn the volume up on the receive radio

You will eventually hit the sweet spot where the tone is deciphered correctly and you will hear the little relay click and see the led light up
