Pros & Cons
Pros
You get the maximum that theusb-c spec will allow. This is a definite plus over others that only come with the one cable type or has an adapter instead.
Enclosure is impressively well-designed. Low-friction glide stickers inside the lid, along with a conductive pad that ensures proper grounding and good emi shielding.
One latch and it's open. They protect my stuff 100% from falls and mishandling.
The rainbow rgb lighting add flair and style to the enclosure. The rgb is a nice touch, but you can't really address/change it, it just does a rainbow pattern.
Cons
Case latches poorly. Two worthless adhesive foam squares that just flatten out once you put pressure on them.
Usb-c connector does not followusb-c standards, it is not reversible. Windows recognizes the disk but i cannot format it or use it.
Highlights
Quality
Easy to install, heavier and larger than expected.
It is aluminum and very well built.
Snap open, insert sata drive, snap closed, and you have usb 3.
The lid is hinged and opens like the plastic clear utility cases you buy in the sporting goods or tool departments.
Price
I’m really excited that a company finally made an easy to install, inexpensive, sturdy sata external case for 2.
A great value, as most enclosures with rgb on them cost way more than this one.
Well there are adapters you can buy cheap to change the usb 3 to usb c cable right here in amazon.
I'm glad i got it especially when it was on sale for 10 dollars less than the normal price.
Packaging/appearance
I just used the box it came in to store it.
Competitiveness
The rgb is just an added bonus and adds a nice cool factor to the overall mix, the only downside is you have zero control over ... Read More
