I would recommend getting one of these over using a cloud storage since with this you have control over your data and not have to read the t cs of these cloud providers who dont accept any responsibility regarding your data security and some have conditions to say that they have rights over viewing and using your stored data which can be intrusive if you store family images or scanned sensitive documents

The item was preopened the sticky tab wasnt attached and the item itself was dusty and dirty so i believe it was an item previously returned

I purchased this item as i was looking for something more rugged than your average everyday external hdds that dont offer much protection at all

Ive had two external hdds that didnt match the same level of protection of the adata and because i dropped them on a hard surface they failed

Was unsure at first as many reviews stated that the connecting cable was weaksensitive and often fell out when touched corrupting transfers
