Pros

I did a few benchmark tests against another cheap hd s700. Used with windows and linux as well. More durable than a standard hard drive so a great choice for a laptop that is moved around.

Cons

Cost me lots of aggravation and time. That was not expected and appreciated. Totally ridiculous. Price is not worth it.

Iow, buyer beware, support is your issue, not adata. Do yourself a favor spend the few dollars more go samsung. Spend the couple a bucks more and get yourself a samsung sandisk.

Now i have to use my web server to do work while i wait for a replacement. Not only does it delete data for you at a moment outside your choosing, it also makes recovery of the entire installation impossible and at total random!

The max temp for an ssd before throttling is 70c. The 1 tb is split half and half between the c and d drives.

Quality

I used it to upgrade an old hp and it does run a bit faster and snappier than with the old hdd.

240gb is enough memory for most of my laptops, and the 240gb are pretty inexpensive now.

Shipping

It got to me fast, so i can't complain there.

Ideally you mount it, but i didn’t feel like shipping some out so i just left it in the case as is.

Packaging/appearance

I did a few benchmark tests against another cheap hd s700, the s700 ssd is nothing to brag about but it actually blew away the adata 635.

Packaging was minimal, but they still could have used something other than plastic on the inside holding the drive.

Competitiveness

Used for a drive replacement in a dell desktop pc.

I have bad experience with adata before.
