One thing i will say about asus memory allocation is that the color codes of the slots that indicate a dual channel modewhen using only 2 sticks of memory and both sticks in the same color dimm slot such as black slot 1 and 3 and blue slots2 and 4 to create dual channel mode i found out that means nothing for asus

I was using a cooler master hyper 212 evoit blocked dimm slot1 so i put the memory in dimm slot2 and 4 which was the same color
