They fill the void between cheep and much higher priced stands. They feel very heavy, durable and are very flexible in the way that you can set them up. We use them for mics as well as small, lightweight lights behind.
Cons
Was hoping to use it for this weekend’s gig. One side is good while the other side seems to be used and the black paint came off which cut my thumb.

I tried the regular lightweight boom stands and the setup of a mic and isolation shield wobbled around and nearly tipped over several time

I wish the boom arm was a little longer and the knobs seem a little flimsy for such a robust mic stand

I have some beefy boom stands for heavy mics and long reaches but those also have large footprints and long booms no matter what

The one con though is that the knobs strip out pretty quick

I had to buy extra knobs and replace those a few times over the past two years but unlike the others weve tried when these ones start giving out the poles dont just slide down mid song and make you look like an idiot

I got a used stand with busted and missing parts which is fine but az recommended me to go to pyle first so i tried that
