This hub is made from solid aluminum with a bit of plastic and rubber but the metal part is anodized with a layer of black

But since it costs 80 i think its a little over priced not to have a usb c data port and a secondary video output option like another hdmi or vga or displayport

Pricing can vary widely with products like this though so its not a terrible deal its just not a good deal either

People need to understand that you can totally brick your laptop by burning up the charging chip inside your computer if you go with one of those 20 hubs that has all the same ports as this one

As mentioned in another review it does get warm when charging the laptop but this is very common among usb c hubs that support power delivery charging at high wattages 60100w

Usually you can check on the website of the manufacturer to see what the normal operating temperature is for the hub if you get super worried about it

The hub never got alarmingly hot just warm

Its worth mentioning that when a hub says it supports 100 watts you have to subtract 1215w because of the energy consumed by the hub itself
