Aerogarden seriously makes it so, so easy and fool proof. The bounty basic is one of the only models that has a lamp that can extend farther (double that of the harvest elite) it is super easy to get started and also easy to maintain.

Lcd screen is reminder enough for me for when it's time to refill the water or add nutrients. A recommendation is to get the ph test with the ph up and down.

Cons

It almost sounds like a scam. If you were results driven and inclined to do so, you could build something cheaper that would work better. Totally disappointed and ripped off.

There is a constraint with the reservoir size being so small. The instructions from aerogarden say to lower the light to 4 to 6 inches for germination but the basic does not go lower than 8 inches which produces low germination and leggy plants.

The app is a joke. Have to unplugged it from the power cord to get the light to turn off.
