Just put in your pods, water, and supplied fertilizer and that’s it. Not all of the pods work after the first one. Even if the seed germinates, it dies shortly after because the waterlogged soil invites mold to grow.

Besides that i am very happy with this purchase.
We made pesto with the basil and use the live plant nightly in our food.
The herb that came with the aerogarden grew too high and reached the light.

Plants grow so fast in the aero garden.

I collected the seeds of marigold from my backyard and planted them in the aerogarden.

Competitiveness
Much easier, as i don’t have to telescope the light up like you do with this aerogarden unit.
I wanted an aerogarden for ages but couldn’t justify the expense.
The aerogarden produces so much basil, i have a constant supply of pesto.

One thing i didnt like is there are 6 holes but if you try to grow all of them at once the roots tangle too much and about 3 of them dont grow because there is not enough space
