It is supposed to be 16x20 but these fit better with less room around the edges for unfiltered air to enter

When the hvacmechanical company was doing the maintenance the coil looks like a radiator that hot or cold coolant goes through got dirty with dust hair and lint and the condensate didnt run down to the tray but instead dripped onto the filter getting it wet and sagging

That caused more unfiltered air to enter and it was so bad there wasnt much airflow in the system no ac to speak of

This is 12 inch too long and sticks out a little but as soon as the air flows its tight up against the frame and with it being wider i dont get nearly as much unfiltered air in the system

Ive started replacing these once a month

I used to leave them in longer but they get wind noise after they start getting dirty which is probably unfiltered air escaping around the edges
