You don’t have to wash it afterwards just pour out hot water leave the lid up place on base and put it away

Unfortunately my absentminded mother too it off the base and put it on the burner and melted the darn bottom

Would have been 5 stars but now that it is out of warranty the automatic shutoff has quit functioning

I would love to find a way to repair the automatic shut off but have no resource to help me with that
