Pros
The cobalt blue is beautiful in my kitchen! This kettle is a keeper! I ordered this tea kettle in cobalt, it’s very pretty. This tea kettle perks up the top of my stove top with its pretty color. Seemed durable ( was a gift).
Enamel coating inside and out. It pours perfectly.
Cons
If you have a ceramic cooktop, the paperwork that comes with this product says you can only turn the heat up to medium. It boils water, but it will never whistle again, which pretty much defeats the purpose of a teapot.
The lever for opening the spout is flimsy and the opening for the water is so wide that the water splashes out in a wide arc rather than as a narrow stream. The spout has begun to rust after approximately 1 year and 3 months of use. Another issue i ha... Read More

My old kettle of more than 15 years without issue a real whistling kettle by copco just broke the handle no longer fully closing to sound like as it did till now and started to whistle poorly whistle

Not sure why this newly delivered kettle is called such a name when it does not whistle unless i stand by and use my wooden spoon to press hard on the thin lid

Otherwise if you dont stay by your stove to press on the lid which is so thin that it does not get inserted in to blow the whistle necessaryit sadly simple just sounds like blowing which any of my pot with boiling water in it does
