Fine, metal tip does not scratch the ipad. Need to have a screen protector on to prevent scratches. Perfect for taking nice notes on an ipad due to having a thiner tip.

They're soooo smooth. Made from durable materials that are designed to withstand regular use. Apple offers a variety of tip sizes, allowing users to customize their experience.

Cons

I have a paperlike screen protector on my ipad and i used the new pencil tip to write some notes but it scratched my screen cover. It’s not durable and it completely scratched my paper white screen.

The metal tip is made of very poor quality material. This is probably why i could not replace the tip on my last apple pencil. The replacement tips are cheap, and you can tell.
