I lost the top piece so i cant use it anymore but over all it was good

Eventually the tripod will wear out and it will not be able to hold the weight of your phone

I suspect if your iphone has an otterbox or other protective cover you will also be forced to remove it to hold your device also

Other than that it does hold the phone awkwardly and sit on a surface like any tripod
