Pros

Clean up is less than 1 minute and i'm not getting splashed. Our pool uses a cartridge filter system, has automated solar heat and salt water system for chlorination. This robot does a really good job!

I apologize for the length of this review but i want it to be thorough. Save yourself the hassle of looking through reviews and trust this review. This is a minor issue, the value definitely outweighs the problem. Outweighs the competition.

It cleans the bottom of the pool and hasn't had any problems climbing the slope from the deep end to the shallow end. Takes a few times to get the cord to straighten out or it will twist up. It works great and fast and goes on its merry way.

To replace the last one we had with the same brand, it would’ve cost $1k.

We have now used the orca 800 on four consecutive days with the same results.

The price was cheaper on viper website though.

Shipping

I did return the orca 800 mate after they even sent me a ups label to cover the return shipping.

Packaging/appearance

Won’t pick up a penny and had a tuff time of getting to the algae in the wrinkles.

Competitiveness

We have an inground pool with vinyl liner, 14 by 25 feet.

Now i have an inground gunite pool and it performed beautifully.

The negative is i have an above ground intex 32’x16’ rectangular pool.

Don’t waste your money on a brand.
