You just open it up, hose the filter and the filter housing out and then put it back together.
We have an 18ft round above ground pool and this vacuum will go over the entire bottom and then some before slowing down or cutting off.

I recommend not having anyone in the pool or any toys or extras either so that nothing gets in the way or stirs up anything that needs to be picked up by the vacuum

The only issue ive had with it is every so often it doesnt make it all the way back to the edge of the pool

This is not going to work in the main indoor pool because its way too big and also has a deep end

My aunts golden retriever likes to swim in that pool so it ends up needing cleaned more often than youd think
