It is easy to open and collapse.

I love the compost bin and i think it is a great price.
Just the perfect size for the countertop like the filter was worth the money just a little hard to push out
Packaging/appearance
It arrives flat to reduce packaging and you just expand it and put the lid on then it stays in place.
I use it all the time, so it's not like i put it into storage, but if you plan on packing it away, it's a fine feature.
