Pros & Cons
Pros
They are amazing, and basically solve the problems i have with the cs crystals. I use them on my daily board at work and everyone loves them. Would recommend, and will buy another set from them if needed.
actuation is smooth and satisfying out of the box. They also have a long throw at 4mm. They especially feel heavier on the release, and make it easier to feel when the key hits tdc. They are slightly higher pitched that gateron milky yellows.
Bright but still bassy, smooth linearity with a distinct bottom out feeling that can only be described as solid despite any other plate flex. True to their name, they have a very “creamy” sound signature.
This is for the aqua blue switches. I particularly love the purple lavender color, which gives my keyboard a unique and stylish look. The cream yellow switch by akko is an excellent linear with compatibility for basically any keyboard.
The akko jelly pinks are smoother stock (not lubed) than the cream yellows. They are fairly serviceable out of the box, but a bit of lube is nice with these switches as well. Lubing them just enhances it.
Highlights
Quality
At only 20 dollars for a pack, these switches are an excellent value for the quality you receive.
They are a 'silent' switch and with the combination of the board its such a good sound.
In my keychron v3, these switches sound very marbly.
Not bad experiences mind you, but the variation has me very confused.
Price
I got them to put into a tecware phantom 87 to replace their stock outemu red switches.
They sound nice and the price for them makes it all so worth it compared to other akko options.
I hope you guys don’t let the price set the level of quality if you do your missing out.
The spring ping is pretty pronounced, but i can completely overlook that because the price is just outstanding.
Packaging/appearance
Switch packaging was perfect, no bent or dead switches, all with consistent lubing (resistance/sound when pressing pre installation).
They sound amazing right out of the box.
I would avoid the lubed jely blacks.
I did not lube or mod these, installed them right out of the box.
Competitiveness
Very solid budget switches that will fit into outemu hotswap sockets, to improve some of the budget hotswap boards that come wi... Read More
I love these akko x gateron yellow switches!
And it was comparable to gateron pro reds.
They are a tactile (non clicky) switch.
