Pros & Cons
Pros
Keyboard comes with a keycap puller, two extra keycaps - for esc and spacebar and usb-c/usb-a cable. It has a removeable usb c cable, an extra esc key in yellow/red and an extra space key with more color. The matte colors match with the keyboard’s mat... Read More
Feels like a solidly constructed board. Build quality is perfect, no flex and very sturdy. I'm absolutely thrilled with its build quality and overall look.
First and foremost, the included keycaps are incredibly unique. The coating on the keycaps feels high quality. I just wish it would have other better specs on it to match the amazing keycaps.
The switches aren't clicky, but the thunk the keys make is satisfying, backspace especially. The keys have a smooth motion from the beginning to end. Luckily, i’m pretty comfortable with typing without looking at the keys so it doesn’t really bother m... Read More
Highlights
Quality
The keyboard is very solid, heavy, and performs very well.
Having used akko boards daily, i love their quality and they continue to be consistent with their build quality.
Even though the switch itself is perfectly silent, the loud bottoming out still makes typing with this keyboard a rather loud affair.
Backspace, both controls, alts, esc, tab, windows(superkey), directions, the entire numpad, and 4 function buttons on the right... Read More
Price
-there's no backlight, which may be a dealbreaker for some especially at this price.
It is insane how this is under $100.
Being its not too expensive is keeping me from giving it 3 stars
Packaging/appearance
Came packaged well with a detachable cable, a keycap puller, and a couple of alternate design keycaps.
In the box is the keyboard, a usb-c to usb-a connection cable, a keycap puller but no switch puller, a alternative space bar ke... Read More
Competitiveness
A lot of official forbidden city museum gift shop items in beijing use similar motifs.
I can however compare this to a stock royal kludge keyboard and i do appreciate the sound of this akko keyboard a little more.
I've only seen a couple of companies that have made the sakura switches and akko is one of them.

Everyone talks about the “thock” sound and to tell you the truth i’m not even sure what that is as i am fairly new to the mechanical keyboard world

Initially i wasn’t too thrilled about the colors as it’s all over the place with red navy blue aqua and orange
