It has a night light that aims down so it doesnt shine at anything but is bright enough to see when its pitch black

Out of the box its way too bright and it has a white nightlight bar below it that is also at max brightness

Fortunately there are dials on the right side of the clock that lets you adjust that brightness independently for each of those to turn the night light all the way down to off and the numbers to very dim
