Pros & Cons
Pros
The lightweight pergola is easy to build with two people and power tools. All of the pieces fit perfectly, there's just a lot of * to do. The key feature of this one is the retractable roof.
My yard is a work in progress, but i will post a picture of my results with the canopy retracted. The construction is solid and the structure itself is light wieght. It’s sturdy and weather resist.
The finish on the metal is a textured matte gray that looks unexpectedly nice. It is what i wanted but i had to take a chance and hope that the product arrived in the darker color that other buyers had mentioned.
This one fills the bill nicely. Tho is my second purchase in one year. Lots of compliments on it.
Cons
Tried to contact mfg. Aleko) talked to people there but no info. One of the main issues with the instructions are in relation to the awning itself and how you assemble. This is not a product i would recommend.
It’s bent, dented, scratched, damaged and missing bolts and nuts. The poles that feed through the canopy are not a snug fit and came apart when opening and retracting.
Highlights
Quality
All in all, i am very pleased.
Great quality, a lot of little screws, very satisfied
I was impressed with the overall quality for under $400.
Only two details were out of place or unclear, but with the smallest bit of deduction, you can discern what you need to do.
Price
Really great for the price you pay.
Shipping
Every piece was wrapped in thin padding - sufficient for shipping.
Competitiveness
It fits perfectly in my 9x9 deck!
It may not last forever, but it's a great choice at the price.
Directions were not very clear and some pre-drilled holes did not line up very well.
Would have been quicker if two posts weren't slightly better in shipment and needed to be straightened out.
