Pros & Cons
Pros
Everything is just as advertised, semi-weighted keyboard, 88 keys almost full size, decent construction for price range.
Works with power (electricity) or batteries (6 d batteries). Plug and play. Easy setup out of box, cord and battery options. Software that comes with it is also handy. I can get used to the simplicity of operation.
Cons
They respond with (pathetic) volume change when you mash them, but you don't feeeeel anything. The electric piano sounds like an organ and is nonexistent in the lower register.
The keys feel low quality. My 61 key midi keyboard is far superior in sound quality.
The keys sound very clicky when pressed. Many of the keys squeak loudly. It gets more differentiating when the volume is on max, but that defeats the purpose of an electronic keyboard.
Highlights
Quality
True piano sound, good volume, very happy with this alesis 88 keyboard.
This is a very great keyboard with great durability and very nicely pressed keys!
I will update this review if our opinion changes, as if it doesn't hold up to daily adult practicing, etc.
The headphones feel like you’re listening to the piano out loud but nobody can hear it so you won’t make a disturbance.
Price
This is really great to start off with, good for the money.
I’ve been quite pleased with the keyboard for the amount of money spent.
Don’t waste your time buying anything cheap or anything too expensive.
If you’re using it for this type of playing and don’t want to spend so much money, look no further.
Shipping
It arrived pretty quick and is just as advertised, i also bought it with headphones.
