It is not entirely opaque but it is far less sheer than a similar nightgown i tried from alexander del rossa

It is not very see through so is modest enough to be worn around the house with family members

I bought bigger to allow for how cotton shrinks but should not have as there has been no shrinkage after washing and drying in the dryer a couple of times
