For comparison i am 51130 lbs and usually wear a size 6 yes i had to have them hemmed as with everything i buy unfortunately

As with most pairs of womens pajama pants with an elastic waist the elastic in these is too tight so i unpicked the waistband cut out the elastic and sewed it back up to just be a drawstringcontrolled pair of pants
