Pros & Cons
Pros
Must be patient, dose appropriately and religiously every 3 days. Then go to the once a week controlling dose. A magnet scraper makes it fast and easy. Could not be happier.
Hair algae removed from my 25 gallon nano reef. All fish and corals and inverts are very happy. Plants seem to love the weekly maintenance doses, especially the java ferns.
Cons
All it says is that it won’t kill saltwater fish or corals. My guppies seem poisoned and lethargic immediately after application.
Highlights
Quality
Great product that i will keep on hand for as long as i have reef tanks.
We had greenish algae pond for a week but once we used api algeafix we were able to control the water quality within a week.
We used this and within 15 min it started to clear, with in an hour it was crystal clear.
Within a month or so of neglect, some caulerpa macro algae had taken over the tank.
Competitiveness
As a refugee fighting algae wars in my fish pond for years and years, algaefix has come to be the best brand i've found.
