Highlights
Quality
This pan is a classic; solid and well-made.
The rivets securing the handle on the lid and pan are solid--overall construction is very well done.
These stainless, french skillets cook at a lower heat and sear, brown, and lock in flavor like nonstick pans will ever do.

Price
This product is tops and at a great price.
Quality is good and was amazed to find this at such a good price.
Don't waste your money on this expensive pan; it will drive you crazy and you will kick yourself for wasting so much money on a frying pan.
So, i purchased this as it was cheaper than just buying a lid.
Packaging/appearance
Otherwise - the pan is great, and it came in a little black satin slip cover which is kinda fancy if you're sending it as a gift.
Competitiveness
All clad stainless steel is superior to other types of cookware.
I hope to buy more of this brand because i really try to buy usa made products whenever possible.
Compared to other makes, it's narrow and doesn't give the grip confidence when there's hot food in it, should you need to move it.
Honestly, on a gas range, there isn't much difference between my 3-ply french skillets and the 5-ply copper core fry pan.
